This is CareOps, a newsletter about healthcare’s workflows, virtual care, value-based healthcare and everything else that grabs my attention.

So why is it called CareOps? Well, it’s stolen from DevOps:

DevOps integrates developers and operations teams in order to improve collaboration and productivity by automating infrastructure, automating workflows and continously measuring application performance.

And I think in healthcare we could benefit from the same approach where we aim to continuously improve our care flows. The goal of CareOps should be:

  • Better collaboration

  • Breaking down silos

  • Measuring outcomes/cost

  • Continuously improvement

  • Shared responsibilities

So, if you regularly find inefficiencies — and improvement potential — in care processes. And if you believe healthcare can be doing more, you’re not alone. And this newsletter was designed for you:)

Cheers,
Rik
